  • Roosevelt Lodge & Cabins are the earliest to close at the end of the summertime season. They are only open very early June to very early September.
  • None of the lodging choices in Yellowstone have tvs. We only say this to remind you that you are staying in a lodge in a National Park. Expect it to be a little rustic!

Tried to get into Yellowstone on honeymoon in 1988, but we were a bit early. As we drove north from Jackson Hole the road was blocked: snow too deep! And we could see it: Just up the road the snowbank across the road was higher than our little rental car. Beautiful anyway – we drove where we could gazing at the the beautiful Tetons. Saw elk and swans. Loved the area, which I had read about as a child – My Friend Flicka and Thunderhead (Mary O Hara, I think). Good luck blogging. I’m loving it.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for visiting my blog and I thought I’d pop by and say hello and find out a bit more about camping now that we’ve just joined the caravan set. My initial thoughts about your post, would be to add some more photos so that people like myself who are probably never going to get there, can get a feel for the place your highlighting anyway. I’ve been blogging for about 6 years now and most of my traffic comes from USA and that’s by a huge lead. To the best of my knowledge, the most frequent visitors have never been here and have no intention of coming but would probably like to if the world was a bit smaller. Unfortunately, thanks to the coronavirus, travel has virtually shut down atm but that hasn’t shut down virtual travel via blogs and the net.
Good luck with your blog.
Best wishes,
Rowena

Thanks for the info. I plan to go there as soon as travel is okay again. I have seen pictures of Old Faithful Inn and to me it would be the place to stay while enjoying the park. Thanks again.
